Parties

I celebrated my Birthday on 30th April 2020.  Under normal circumstances, it wouldn’t have been regarded as a particularly special Birthday. Not a milestone by any means. But it WAS a day unlike any other, ENTIRELY different to any I’ve ever experienced before (and I’ve clocked up quite a few!)

Yes, there were the usual cards, gifts, lovely messages and expressions of kind thoughts, plenty of cake and a few glasses of fizz. I feel truly blessed to have such an amazing family and so many lovely friends, but I spent my Birthday alone. Locked down.  And although I knew my folks were only the touch of a button away, it felt as though we had never, ever been further apart.

WHAT WILL IT FEEL LIKE TO BE WITH OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILIES AGAIN?

WHEN WE ARE ABLE TO BE WITH OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILIES AGAIN, THAT IN ITSELF WILL BE CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION!

We may have taken them for granted before, but will Summer BBQs and Sunday lunches filled with love, laughter and frivolity suddenly become sacred?

During the time we spend apart, what will we learn about our relationships with the special people in our lives?

Will we reopen our eyes and see things differently?

Who will we most want to celebrate with?

If you could raise a glass with them TODAY and make a toast to the future, what would you say?

HUGS! What will they feel like?

DANCING with each other. Imagine that.

KISSING. Oh Lord!

Shortly before any social distancing measures were introduced in the UK, I had the pleasure of planning a fabulous family celebration on behalf of a client who, whilst juggling her incredibly demanding career with various out of work commitments which left her with very little free time, wanted to give her wonderful Mum an unforgettable 60th Birthday celebration.

From the stationery design to the entertainment and the food to the finishing touches, I sourced and liased with all of the suppliers involved, creating a ‘dream team’ who delivered an unforgettable experience for the Birthday girl and all of her very special guests at The Beverley Barn.

The Beverley Barn offers a perfect space for a party or family celebration. It’s an incredibly warm and friendly party venue, which offers a huge amount of flexibility.

The elegant stationery designed by Stylists in Stationery set the scene for a very special celebration.

The flowers chosen reflected the Birthday girl’s love of her garden, particularly during Spring.

The look on the Birthday girl’s face as she arrived!

It was a picture.

Cherry Williams assisted me with the venue styling and provided some of the pretty finishing touches, including a multitude of candles which illuminated every dining table.

FAMILY. When we have each other, we have everything.

The incredible Birthday cake created by Grace Eva Cakes, incorporated the Birthday girl’s love for her garden and featured her grandson and beloved four legged friend.

Besides planning wonderful weddings, I love creating fabulous family celebrations. At the end of the day, seeing you and your guests having the most incredible time… that’s my reward! It makes all the hard work and obsessing over every detail worth the time and effort.
